Narrative Films
Alison McMahan has taught screenwriting courses at the Emerson College Extension Program in the Netherlands and the Hudson Valley Writer’s Center, in Pleasantville, NY. She has given one-day workshops in venues as diverse as Kansas University, in Lawrence, Kansas, the Free University of Amsterdam (VUU), and the Dance Lab at the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, both in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She writes all of the scripts for the non-fiction films she produces. A sample of her narrative screenplays are listed below.
Rub-A-Dubin development Rub-a-Dub (working title) is a feature film adaptation of the short story “Rub-a-Dub” by Daniel Galouye, whose novel Simulacron-3 became the film The 13th Floor (1999).
