The Kickstarter Campaign for Be Natural is successful! Pamela Green and Jarik van Sluijs of the PIC Agency, who optioned my book, Alice Guy Blaché:Lost Visionary of the Cinema, with the goal of making a documentary film, now have the funds they need to get the film to the rough cut stage.
There's still a few hours left to the Kickstarter campaign. The filmmakers have extended their goal to $240,000 to help them pay licensing fees. Every dollar and five dollar donation will help! Be part of the effort that will introduce a new generation to Alice Guy's remarkable accomplishments: first woman filmmaker, the mother of cinematic narrative as we know it, and the first woman to own her own film studio, a mong many others.
